The Challenge
People in recovery, dealing with mental health challenges, or in potentially unsafe situations often need accountability systems. Are You SOS needed to be a reliable, always-available app that could notify trusted contacts if the user missed a check-in.
The Solution
I built a full-stack mobile application using React Native and Firebase. The app features multiple "modes" for different use cases (sobriety, mental health, safety), offline-first architecture for reliability, and a sponsor relationship system for recovery support.
